On September 9, Egypt’s Zamalek faced Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ahly in the Lusail Iconic Stadium. The stadium has a capacity of 80,000 people. It was the seventh and last brand-new World Cup stadium (Khalifa International Stadium opened in 1976). The World Cup final will be held on December 18 at Lusail Stadium, which is larger than Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Some stadiums are located miles from from the next hotel, restaurant, or coffee shop. Each stadium will have locations for fans, places to buy food, and places to watch entertainment during the World Cup, but more needs to be done.
Qatar boasts a wide range of accommodations, ranging from £2,500 beach houses on stilts on Banana Island, 20 minutes by boat from Doha, to $80 sleeping pods. The families of the French and English players are reported to have settled on Banana Island. Despite the fact that there would be 20,000 unoccupied rooms one month before the event, the Supreme Committee and FIFA have allocated 80% of the hotel rooms in Doha for teams and officials.
Al Khor, like Coachella and Glastonbury, will offer high-end tents for $380 per night. The bungalows at Al Wakrah Camp aren’t luxurious, but they’re only $190 per night. Occasionally, photographs of the desert show rows of metal dwellings.

Fans with additional cash may watch the game and consume beer at one of Doha’s five-star hotels’ sports bars and pubs. The US Men’s National Team has reserved rooms at the InterContinental Beach, Marriott Marquis, and Kempinski Pearl, all of which charge between $12 and $15 for a pint of beer.
